Every day is becoming more of a challenge for Police Officers, police staff, Special Constables and Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs). With the number of full time Police Officers / staff decreasing and the number of Special Constables and volunteers increasing rapidly, Paul Cooper wanted to bring something to the table which would help.

Paul joined Cleveland Police as a Police Constable in August 2008. Whilst serving as a Police Officer he had the opportunity to experience various departments such as Patrol Response, Neighbourhood Policing and working alongside detectives within CID. Paul transferred to Lincolnshire Police in May 2014. In October 2016 Paul left the service to commit to Pocket Sergeant on a full-time basis.

Whilst on duty, Paul became increasingly frustrated at not having information he required to hand. To obtain the information he would often be need to return to the police station and log onto a computer or should he require telephone numbers he would contact the force control room.

As technology seemed to be progressing so much that policing organisations just couldn’t keep up,  having an interest in mobile technology and policing – Paul wanted to combine the two.  Paul wanted to design an mobile app that would assist police officers and staff for them to manage their time more effectively.
